Scholarship
The
Inland Empire Senate annually offers scholarships from the Inland Empire Senate
Scholarship Fund (IESSF). IESSF was
founded in 1993 with the purpose of assisting students of TNBA members with the
cost incurred while enrolling into college. These scholarships are offered to
local graduating high school seniors.
The Executive Board of the Inland Empire
Senate will determine the number of annual awards and the amount of the awards.
The Inland Empire Senate Scholarship Fund (IESSF)
chair will provide scholarship applications to all local senates, tournament
clubs, and interested parties. Qualifying
students or their parents can only complete the application.
Eligibility is restricted to students whose
1) parent(s) or guardian(s) are members of the Inland Empire Senate or 2) the
student is a member of the T.N.B.A. Junior Program. The parent or guardian must
be a member of Inland Empire Senate for at least one year.
Submission of the following documentation is
required:
Special
Student Attendance Form
Official
Sealed Transcript
Essay
Letter of Recommend (1) School Official, Senate member or community leader
All completed application must be submitted
to the local Chairperson by February 1st. The
local chairperson will evaluate all scholarship packets.
Evaluation
will be based on the following criteria:
Grade Point Average
Application completeness
Financial Need
Letters of recommendation
Essay
Community Involvement
