Bringing Out The Best In Each Other!!
That is exactly what Nicole Rayon, Kevin Gathier and Daniel Lee do for each other. They are all about moral support for each other. Nicole is like the General who rallies her troops and leads by example. She bowled a 300 game with an 805 series in February that lead her team to a 4 point victory. She has been bowling for 21 years, her highest average is 221.
Kevin “OXIE” followed the “general” the next week with a game of 300. He spends much of his time on the lanes when he is not at his favorite Jamaican Restaurant (which is how he has earned the nickname “Oxie”.) He has been bowling for 20 years and his highest average is 217.
Daniel also followed the “general” by bowling a 300 game. After bowling for a while, he decided to follow the paintball circuit. He became a professional paintball champion, traveling throughout the country. HOWEVER, he missed bowling, and it is the number one activity in his life now.
This TEAM has been bowling for five years together. They have participated in the Southern California Tri-Senate tournaments and took first place in the First annual Tri-Senate trio tournament in Westminster, California. They participate in local, Regional and National TNBA tournaments. Nicole and Kevin took first place in the Regional Mixed Doubles event in Phoenix this past year.
The fourth member of this team, Andrea Martinez, participates with them, and is very busy with their paper work. She is on her way to a perfect game and 800+ series. This team may forget their line, shot, and follow through, BUT will never forget their support for each other and TEAM TNBA.

Happy 50th Anniversary
Congratulations to Doug and Ruth Woodley who celebrated 50 years of marriage on January 6, 2018.  It all began with a blind date on an October evening in 1967. Doug had just arrived at Hunter Army-Air Force Base in Savannah, GA and Ruth had just started her junior year at Savannah State College. Her roommate was dating one of the soldiers on the base and they convinced Doug and Ruth to go on a date. Doug was a ‘city boy’ from Akron, Ohio and Ruth was a ‘country gal’ from the small country town of Hardeeville, South Carolina. That date turned out to be a success…three months later, they were husband and wife!
Doug and Ruth set up homestead in Akron, Ohio in 1969 after getting out of the army and graduating from college. Doug got Ruth involved in bowling and they became members of TNBA in the early 70’s…actively working with the Akron Bowling Senate. They packed up and moved to California in 1988 and set up homestead in Moreno Valley. There they orchestrated and created the Moreno Valley Bowling Senate in 1989. In 1997, their jobs transferred them to Salisbury, NC where another senate was orchestrated and created – the Salisbury Bowling Senate in 1999.
They are both now retired (Ruth recently retired in 2016, Doug in 2004) and have moved back to Southern California (Menifee). Doug & Ruth always say that marriage is work but if two people are willing to love, respect, compromise, appreciate, understand each other…and do things together, it can last 50 years!

George Brooks and Valerie White of the Showboaters league at Brunswick Deer Creek Lanes being presented TNBA high score awards by House Rep, Gail Morris.

Demetrius McDaniels is showing off his 300 ring and 800 series ring for the excellent bowling he did on October 31, 2017 (Halloween). He rolled a 300, 268, 268 for an 836 series.
Congratulations Demetrius
Keep up the good bowling!!
